Anyone knows when will the ipod Touch in stores?
I'm in London by September 29 and I would love to buy one...

Last week, I asked a member of staff in the 3G Store here when the new iPods would be in stock. She said about 10 days, so that'd be by this weekend. We'll see if she's right!

I really hope you are right , I can't wait to get my new touch and show it off to my friends!!

ha

Any confirmation of this or just rumour.

If they're shipping I'll run to the nearest apple store this very afternoon, but would hate to knock off early just to find they weren't actually there.

Well Arndale is open till 8pm and Trafford is open till 10pm so there's plenty of time for someone else to do the legwork :p

I guess we'll have an idea when regent street reopens (alas the 3 hour drive there is a bit far for me).

Hi all, long time reader, first time poster. I have just called the Regent Street Apple Store (where Job's conference was just held), and they confirmed that iPod touches are in stock, and ready to buy.

I live about 40 mins away from Regent Street, and am now trying to decide whether to buy one (I really want one, and have come to the conclusion that a touch is preferable to an iPhone, at least for me), though I am concerned about the dark screen issues. Advice?

UPDATE: Apple Store Kingston also has touches in stock. MichaelThomas has also confirmed Glasgow have them in stock. It seems that all UK apple stores received their stock today.

My nearest apple store is the Birmingahm Bullring which is 2.5 hours away

Hope they start shipping today or tomorrow

Just letting you know, can confirm manchester arndale has it in stock. Just got in with my touch and about to plug and play.

They had one on display to play with (not actually getting much attention as people didnt notice it). But as soon as the guy bought me one to pay people noticed mine and thought it was an iPhone! The guy said they had a few in so get in quick if you can.

Awesome! Hope you got a good one.

Ditto.
Just installing new itunes now. So wasnt planning on getting one, but after seeing the **** iphone contract info I decided against the iphone. Telling the apple guys about the contract deal (which they didnt know about), even they were shocked.
And they said I could bring it back if theres issues with the screen, which they also didnt know about.

Just called REgent Street, they have them in stock, but wont honour my pre-order and post me one. Getting seriously ****ed off with this whole situation now, am tempted to cancel and go to Currys of all places and have a classic IN MY HAND IN 5 MINUTES!

Apple Store Kingston also has touches in stock.

Sometimes it seems Apple's right hand doesn't know what the left is doing… I 'phoned the Kingston Apple store earlier ( just before 3pm) and the lady I spoke to told me they only have Shuffles, Nanos and "ordinary" (her words) iPods in stock. No date for iPod Touches.

Anyway. Tempting as it is to get on my bike and grab one (if they are in stock) I will wait to hear if the screen issues are resolved and then buy one. :p

But I have had to hide my wallet! The temptation is very strong… :(

When I phoned them ten mins ago, I asked him specifically if they were available to buy NOW, and he said they were.

And yes, the temptation is very strong indeed, lol.
