Awesome, the dock looks great on the side. I really wish someone would post a pic of the dock on the left, small with the mouse over it to see what a bit of magnification looks like...

The dock looks like crap on the side.. if you like it there why not go back to windows...

With all the talk about the UI changes in Leopard... I'm just glad it doesn't look like this anymore http://flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=244427909&size=o

Man, how did I ever tolerate that? What was I THINKING?

For those without an account:

wow just because someone doesnt agree w/ on the how looks on the side doesnt mean that u should flame him. is ur opinion the only one that counts? (i personally love it but will still have it at the bottom)

i could be wrong but the poster has probably just put a white strip on his desktop background or hacked it to non transparent. didnt someone say a while ago that your could hack the menubar in one of the developer builds?

This is my favourite one. The dock looks sooooooo sweet as well as the menu bar with that background colour and style etc. :D

Hey, what's going on with that picture? Is Leopard automatically adding a shelf and reflection if you place a small image centred like that? That would be terrific! I have so much trouble finding a good full-res desktop for my 20" iMac, and centred photos with a background colour usually look very lame.

If Leopard is doing this, I'm looking forward to it even more!

Noooooooo...!!!!

Not blue bloody aqua scroll bars - still!!! :D

Oh well, hopefully graphite's still there so they can be made to look more coherent. Glad to see the option of having the flat dock on the bottom is available also.

I was wondering the same thing. Looks awesome...

I don't think so, just a wallpaper. Could be possible though, I guess.

Well, I dunno. Reflection is IN with Leopard, so we've got the dock, iChat, etc etc, throwing reflections all over. Shelves are IN, like with the Dock. So it would make sense that the desktop could add a shelf and drop a reflection on a centred image.

As popular as widescreen and large monitors are becoming, it's still a nightmare to get good 1600 x 1050 (for the 20" iMac) desktop pictures. This could solve a LOT of problems

I hope there's a way to get the rounded corners of the menubar back. :(

Seriously? It's hard to imagine a more minor issue.

Also, don't you think the rounded screen edges kinda emulate the look of an old CRT tv? I'd guess that when they originally came up with that they wanted the computer to look more like a TV so that people who never used a computer, which included most people at that time, would make the Mac feel familiar like their TV. Now that CRTs are the past, round screen corners just make the Mac look antiquated.
