Transfering songs from iPod to Mac: Freeware alternatives?
I'm wondering if there are any freeware apps. that transfer songs from an iPod to a Mac. A friend of mine (honest to goodness truth) had her HD crash on her Mac and she had not backed up her songs. She wants to get them from her iPod back to her Mac.
Thanks.

Senuti - good and simple, but as it seems now not free anymore.
But it has a 30 days trial, so it should do the trick. http://www.fadingred.com/senuti/ I think the iPod has to be enabled as an external drive via iTunes ("enable disk use"), and be sure to select "manually manage music and videos", otherwise iTunes could delete the iPods content. ![]()
