Invalid Sibling Link after SL Upgrate

Greetings:

I updated my Mac Mini from Leopard to Snow Leopard on Friday. After reboot, OSX gave an error that my external Western Digital My Book Pro II could be read from but not written to. When I get info on the drive it shows that there is only 4K available vs the 75GB that was there before the upgrade. I immediately ran Disk Utility on the drive and the error that was returned was "Invalid Sibling Link". Using Google, I find several pages on this error message and follow the steps listed here to try and resolve my issue. No luck. Any ideas?



Installation process:

Boot Mini
Unmount WD Drive and power off
Install OSX SL via DVD
Mini reboots and WD drive powers up
OSX SL completes installation and returns HDD error message
