Time Machine after a clean install of Snow Leopard
I had a Time Machine backup of my computer with Leopard - it was about 45 GB. Then I did a clean install of Snow Leopard. But the thing is, when Snow Leopard backed up, since it was a clean install, it backed up everything again, so now I basically doubled my usage of my Time Capsule and all the pre-Snow Leopard stuff I don't really need. Is there any way to delete a portion of the backup?

I think you can delete an unwanted backup in several ways: (note: don't worry, your remaining backups will still be intact and complete)
method 1: Enter time machine Navigate to the backup you want to delete according to the time In the middle of the screen, there is a Finder window, select the “Gear” menu, and select “Delete Backup” method 2: just browse your backup disk, and the folders are named according to the time of the backup. delete the one you don't need. You need to enter your mac password to proceed. method 3: when your disk is full, the oldest backup is deleted automatically. |
