where can I buy a PMG5 (AGP8x) compatible graphics card?
If the PMG5 is AGP 8X can it use a 2x/4x card?
Im trying to sell my G5 but no one will take it without a graphics card and I cant find any where that sells a card that is not asking for £1m.

![]() Aside from getting a PCI version of the ATi 9200 from macsales.com, I'm not sure what to do. Maybe someone on here has a dead G5.

What options are open to us?
I dont fully understand graphics cards. If the card that came with it is AGP but the Mac has PCI slots can I use a PCI card? My card was an X800XT and they are still going for $400.

I don't know about the PMG5, but in general it depends on two things: your motherboard, and the type of AGP slot. The AGP 3.0 spec is here, look at the tables in section "2.4.2 AGP3.0/AGP2.0 Compatibility":
http://download.intel.com/support/mo...p/sb/agp30.pdf Yes, you can. AGP is a more powerful interface but you can use a PCI graphics card in a PCI slot.
