Adium Combines Contacts?

I have a contact that is present in two seperate accounts. However, the contact only shows up in ONE account. This makes me wonder if Adium combines the contact from two accounts. *note* both contacts are in groups in seperate accounts.

But the weird thing is, I have another contact thats present in both accounts, but he shows up as 2 contacts in adium.


Anyone know specifically what's going on?

Preferences > Advanced > Address Book > [ ] Combine contacts listed on a single card.

This refers to your Address Book entry where you might have a contact with multiple IM accounts listed. Adium will combine those and display them as one if this option is checked.
