Swedish military bras burst, melt during 'rigorous exercise'

Quote:
The Swedish armed forces have been hit by a major equipment problem, according to reports. Flimsy military brassieres are unable to stand up to the strains imposed when female Swedish troops perform "rigorous exercises", routinely bursting open or even catching fire - so forcing busty young conscripts to hurriedly strip off in the field.
The Register.

Sadly, no photographic evidence of this most terrible equipment failure

Are you kidding me? Catching fire?! What sort of crazy exercises are they doing to cause spontaneous combustion?

You've obviously never seen the military's motor boating techniques.

Looking past the obvious "lulz bewbs" jokes, thats pretty aweful. Hopefully no woman was seriously injured. I can only imagine how badly even a 1st degree burn would hurt in that area.

And seriously, what are these "rigorous exercises?"

I. Love. Boobs.

Maybe the rubbing of material caught the melon holders on fire?

If this was the late 1980s, this would have spawned a "Foreign Film" that you would only be aired on cable network Cinemax, after about 10:30 PM.

Jeeebus, a good sports bra wouldn't have gone to waste there either.

Rehbinder reportedly added that the problems have persisted for twenty years, with generations of young Swedish womens' tophamper routinely breaking free of confinement to oscillate wildly during army PT sessions and field exercises - presumably often followed by impromptu stripteases as the more jubtabulously fortunate female troops sought to re-fasten their flimsy government lingerie.
20 years and they still haven't done anything to resolve the issue. I'm guessing it's a ploy by the brass the bring in more male recruits.

Agreed. Pics or it didn't happen.

Seriously, I hope no one was hurt too badly.

This totally changes the age old question of who you would like to be stuck in a fox hole with. Especially if it's cold out and you need to start a fire.
