Woohoo! New express card to eSata drivers are out from Silicon Images!!!

If you have a Rosewill express card here is the updated drivers:

http://rosewill.com/Commons/SearchRe...ey=RC-605&st=2

If you have another card the base driver may work:

http://www.siliconimage.com/support/...=32&cat=3&os=3

I cant wait to get off work and try these out

I suspect so. I'm very happy for you, though.

Well... new users don't have ExpressCard Slot anymore... poor b'stards and I don't have any uses of eSATA.

With the new card, can you boot from them?

Its good news, but as I only have an express card on my Old Dell XPS1210 and not my new Macbook Pro, there is a bit Gnashing of teeth

Seriously, The inability to use Esata is one of the few things I'm really missing on my Macbook, But as I needed Portability more then that I got the 13" instead of the the 17" or a previous Gen 15".

Here, here, me, me...!

I have a cheap Si3132-based PCIe-eSATA card lying around worthlessly since the Snow Leopard upgrade. The JMB362-based replacement I'm using right now isn't really worth it because it doesn't work with the port multiplier I use.

So I'm looking forward to the new drivers passing the beta-status...

Ive been using the new drivers straight from Rosewills site (I suspect other cards will work with the rosewill drivers because a few in the office do but the stickers are peeled off so I cant tell who makes em, but they aren't rosewill).

I'm so happy to have eSata back
