checkered background on pdf's that shouldn't be there
On certain pdf's, but not all, I get a grey and white checkered background. It should have a white background. Also, the pdf's look normal when I open them in quick look. can't figure it out
I emailed one of the pdf's to my buddy (he's also running snow leopard) and he gets a white back ground. So that means the problem is my mac. I attached a file of one of the pdf's and a screenshot of my computer not displaying it right. |

The checked pattern represents transparency. Other programs represent transparency using white space. Does your friend use a different program to open PDFs than you do?

Click on view>show document background and de-select it.
