Remove alternating list view row colors in snow leopard?

There used to be a way in 10.5 via some hidden preference to remove the alternating row colors in list view. I have a feeling that this hidden feature been eliminated... can anyone confirm?

MacPilot should be able to do this, I think... It's certainly listed as a feature on the website: http://www.koingosw.com/products/macpilot.php
