Changing menu bar font in OSX: can it be done whithout silk?

Hello,

I want to change my menu bar's font, along with the system font, to Helvetica Neue. I have tried many things, and I cant seem to get it to work. I have also tried silk. I haven't bought the program, and it has been past the trial period.

I can not figure out how to work silk, or even change anything at all. The most I can do is use tinker tool for right now, but I cant change the finder/menu bar/drop down menu font with it.

Any help? Thanks.
