Static Fuzzy sound from left of Macbook Pro

I've started getting a really annoying fuzzy static noise at the top left of my macbook. It sounds a bit like a radio thats not tuned to a station.

I've tried the processor quieting applications with no avail. It doesnt seem to be linked to anything volume or screen brightness related.

I did discover a dent on the power connection on the left which happened in my bag. Its been there a while though. The noise is getting worse. From being random, today its been on constantly.

Can anyone help? I've not found anyone with the same sound yet.
