I saw Disney's Christmas Carol

This was probably one of the best adaptations, great movie and to boot, I saw the 3D version. I haven't seen a 3D movie in like 30 years, the technology has changed so much from novelty to something that adds to the experience.

The quality of the animation was mind blowing and the actors really nailed their characters.

I'd like to see this. The last 3D movie I saw; the first I saw ever, was Superman Returns. I may have to ditch work for a bit sometime this week and see it. This way I don't look like the creepy adult going to the movie alone with a bunch of children as I suspect there will be a fair amount of children there.

I was expecting it to be live action; here's me all looking forward to Jim Carrey getting into character. I don't think I'll see it.

But 3D movies are cool..

But is it better than the Blackadder version?

Humbug. George C Scott was the definitive Scrooge. That opening speech he gave to the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future front of the giant US Flag. Classic. Absolutely classic.

I want to see this movie! Jim Carrey plays a lot of characters (Scrooge through all ages, and the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future). Scrooge does look like him and the way his face is articulated it's easy to see Jim Carrey there.
