Compress big folder with Finder : SL Bug? Can you try plz?

Hi Guys,

My mac with SL is unable to compress a big 1GB folder... It just stays stuck at the end of the process with no activity anymore in the Activity Monitor.

Can you please try to reproduce this ? Just pick a big 1GB folder, right click on it and "Compress"... and post if it's successful or not.

Thanks !

Works fine for me. Anything strange in the folder you're attempting to compress? Also, why not use an app instead of the built-in compression tools?

Here's an app that should be able to fill all your de-/compression needs:
The Unarchiver

OK thank very much ! I really appreciate your help.

So you are probably right there must be something strange in this folder, I will check.

What app would you recommend as an alternative to the Finder ?

Edit : oups you were faster than me THANKS again !
