Extending a Mixed Ethernet & Wireless Network

Hi, I would appreciate advice on how best to configure my wireless network.

I currently have an Airport Extreme with two Airport Expresses working in WDS mode to extend the wireless network.

I am about to add Ethernet over the electricity mains (for high-resolution music streaming and to avoid the WDS overhead). I would like to then use one of the Express boxes to extend the wireless coverage by making a "wired" connection to the Extreme via the mains.

So (ignoring the music devices), the configuration would be:

Extreme -> wired connection to ethernet over mains plug ->
.... ethernet over main plug -> wired connection to Express -> wireless

There would still be a wireless connection direct to/from the Extreme, but with the Express extending it via the mains connection. The two devices are at opposite ends of the house (old, thick walls, etc.).

Assuming that this can be made to work, can the Express have exactly the same wireless configuration (SSID, channel, security, etc.) as the Extreme, or does it need to be configured to create a separate wireless network? If so, could it be the same SSID but different channel? Is there anything else that needs to be specified in the configuration to make this work?

Many thanks for any advice and suggestions ....

just make it different channels but same SSID & security,
and under internet set connection sharing to "off (bridge mode)"

your devices will switch to the stronger signals as you move around.
