Help with File system for newby
HI,
I've just purchased my first Mac. I'm Moving all my Photos & Home Video from my PC to My Mac. I've set up 2 user accounts one for me and one for the Wife. I want all my photos to be available to both accounts. Where is the best place to put them to facilitate this? Many thanks Mark |

You should have a folder at /Users/Shared/ where you can store things that all users have access to. An alternative would be to store documents on an external hard drive. If you end up using iPhoto you'll need to change where it saves photos automatically. A MRoogle search can help you with that if you can't figure it out. iTunes can easily be set to change where it stores music at.

To supplement what angelwatt said, it's also possible to allow other users to view the specific folders of your choosing. I thought I'd mention this in case, for instance, you have an iPhone or Touch & want to sync photos (iTunes finds your photos in your Photos folder).
