Snow Leopard System Folders Permissions Problem

I'm running Snow Leopard 10.6.2 and I changed my system font from LucidaGrande.ttc to Museo with the font porting app but accidentally renamed it .ttf. Now, when trying to start up my MacBook, it'll load up my desktop background, but will just beachball. I am able to access the ProtectedFonts folder but cannot replace the fonts with the backups I made beforehand or rename the file with my iMac because of I don't have the correct permissions.
I'm connected from my iMac to my MacBook with an ethernet cable. How can I change the permissions of the folder through my iMac so I can save my MB?

Edit: nothing a Snow Leopard install DVD can't fix.
