Freezing up, even on start up
MBP. Leopard 10.5
Started today while I was just normally browsing. I got the beach ball and everything froze up for about a minute. Fixed itself, then happened again a bit later. Closing the lid didn't help so i hard reset it. froze up badly and took 7 or so minutes to start up. lagged badly from the beginning then totally froze up. what should I do?

If you have your discs that came with your computer, boot of the install DVD and run disk utility there. See if any errors come up. If all checks out ok, then chances are the HDD might be failing.

oh, ****.
Is there any way I can boot up from the DVDs and a time machine backup drive(via USB)? I'll check disk utility first though |
