It's official: Doug Hoffman (Teabagger-NY) loses NY-23 Race

In case you missed it, Hoffman lost on election night, conceded, then unconceded this week because there were outstanding absentee ballots that, if hell froze over, may have been enough to give him the win. But now, the absentee ballots have been counted and he's done.

Quote:
Rep. Bill Owens, D-Plattsburgh, leads by 3,105 votes with 3,072 absentee ballots left to be counted.
That means that even if Hoffman wins every remaining absentee vote, he still doesn't have enough to win. So he's officially done.

Link, and yes, I'm linking to a 100% biased source because certain members here on the other side of the spectrum link to 100% biased sources and see nothing wrong with it, and what's good for the goose is good for the gander.

So much for Sarah Palin and the resurgence of the republican party. Again, I remind you that this is a district that hasn't been in Democratic hands since the Civil War era.

Just to back you up, here's the link to the story from the local newspaper in that area, in case the naysayers call biased BS.

Excuse my ignorance on this matter, but what was he promising or what did he do that some people view him negatively... I'm lazy to read :P

This is the guy that Palin endorsed over Scozzafavia, who (IIRC), was the incumbent. Palin and others blasted her for not being 'conservative enough', and wanted her to drop out of the race and endorse Hoffman.

Scozzafavia dropped out of the race and endorsed the Blue, who got elected. So I guess it could be said that Palin helped to lose another election.

I told Palin she should have started her book signing campaign in NY.

Awesome! Can she endorse more candidates? I was getting sick of her, but if this is what happens, let her stick around!

The Republicans secret weapon, Palin will start endorsing Democrats.

Ah but see, now the new line is that ACORN stole the election. All y'all teabaggers can console yourselves with the sure knowledge that if only ACORN hadn't managed to successfully execute their nefarious plan, True Conservative ideals would have indeed triumphed. And by all means, feel free to extropolate from that conclusion that because a district that has voted Republican since roughly Reconstruction totally would have elected Hoffman, that the same strategy absolutely MUST be employed in every CD across the nation.

Root out the RINOs I say! True Conservatives FTW!

Not quite. The guy who had the seat was appointed to a position in the Obama administration (something with the army I think?) so this was a special election to fill the vacant seat.

Only for the teabagging New Yorkers. The ones who voted seems to not like Hoffman as much as the other candidate.

Of course, if ACORN hadn't stolen the election, Hoffman would be in DC right now, am I right?

Nope. All you have to do is come up with some kind of conspiracy.

Let me see...

"Obama and his socialist thugs rigged the election and brainwashed the public".

See. Not Palin's fault now.

I thought you were kidding so I was going to make a joke about blaming McCain's campaign manager, but I see on the news feeds it's actually true.

'Blame somebody else' seriously appears to be becoming Palin and her supporters' mantra for losing. That's what you want from a hopeful Presidential candidate, a pre-made plaque for her desk that reads 'The buck never stops here'.

I wont say he rigged the election, but I will say that the Black Panthers are on his payroll, and they probably intimidated voters.

Do you have any proof of this or are you just spouting off the same republican lies?

Point and laugh folks! This is what passes for deep thoughts in the modern GOP. No proof necessary, just that they "probably" did something.

Point and laugh all you want. He has some questionable ties. His pastor preaching hate mongering speeches and his acorn relationship, just to mention a couple. Lets investigate all of his financial transactions. Follow the money and that will lead to the proof.

But you wont do that will you since hes your "messiah".
