Good 5.1 Surrond sound speakers for imac

I recently bought the 27" Imac, and the display is phenomenal. I would love to use it for watching movies since they look really good but i need good surround speakers. Are there any suggestions besides the logitech Z 5500 that deliver LOUD bass and are surround sound. I will also be using these for music purposes and the bass has to be good. Thank you,

Budget: Under $350 CAN

You can always use an HTIB system. How about something like this with a USB soundcard. As far as computer 5.1's - it's not going to get better.

That looks like a really great sound system, but that price is in US dollars and i can't find it on the Canadian tiger direct website so I'm guessing it's not available in Canada. Also I'm looking specifically for good bass

Logitech Z 5500 are too expensive my local retailer was selling them for $330 and i was gonna get those right after i bought my mac. N to my surprise they just increased their price to $450. Now they are too expensive.

I just bought a used Logitec Z-5450 5.1 set for US$180.
These have the added advantage of wireless rear speakers so installation is a little easier.

Hi

This seems the sound system great, but the price is in U.S. dollars, and I can not find places in Canada Tiger Direct, so I guess that is not available in Canada. I'm also looking particularly good on

Have you checked Bose system? I'm using Bose Companion 3 with my 24" iMac and totally happy with the sound and design. It will match your iMac and nothing to complain about the sound quality.

One thing need to complain is the price tag. This system is a bit high price

Given that the OP wants to watch movies, the 5.1 seems to have its benefits.
