Programs Crashing Upon Wake from Sleep
I have a late 2008 uMB running Snow Leopard 10.6.2 and every time I wake my computer up from sleep, 3 or 4 of my open applications will crash. This has been happening since a few weeks after I installed Snow Leopard. This always happens with firefox, netnewswire, tweetie, and sometimes iTunes. There are also a few other programs that do this intermittently.
This becomes very annoying because 4 crash report windows will pop up, and I will lose all my open tabs and anything I was doing with those programs. If anyone else is having similar issues, or can offer a solution that could help solve this, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Same here - sorta . . .
I don't have your uMB, but I am running 10.6.2 and have had this "wake
from sleep" problem since installing SL. My specific issue is with a Canon LiDE 200 scanner and either Canon's software or VueScan. Basically, after I wake my iMac from sleep, I am unable to use the scanner, and the only solution is to reboot. I have moved the scanner from a powered Belkin hub to a port on the back of the iMac, thinking it was a power issue - no change. I have installed and reinstalled both VueScan and the Canon drivers - no change. What's so frustrating to me is that I can never be sure if the scanner will work or not after waking the iMac. I have gone 3 or 4 days with repeated sleep-wake cycles, and the scanner will work fine. But yesterday, as an example, I rebooted, did a scan, did some other mail and browser things, listed to iTunes for a while and then went to scan - and it hung - no sleep! This morning, after sleep-wake, still no scanner. I have had a chat with an AppleCare person, and the only thing he could suggest was to bug Canon for a new driver. Of course, Canon says the latest one posted works just fine. One other suggestion the Apple guy had was to do an HD wipe and reinstall SL from scratch. I have many apps and tons of music, photos and videos, so the idea of losing a few days to this exercise is not a good one - and the Apple guy admitted even then, it may not solve the problem. Any other thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated . . . Happy Thanksgiving to all!
