Wireless USB -> USB to VGA -> HDTV??

Has anyone tried to use a wireless USB adapter to "stream" from an iMac to an HDTV?

I was thinking of using a USB to VGA adapter and a USB to audio adapter with a wireless hub to get my iMac to mirror on my HDTV (just a few feet away, but through the floor).

That sounds like a terrible idea in terms of audio fidelity and video quality.

Just use a damn cable <_<...

mini dvi or display port > HDMI
you'll need a cable for the sound depending on what your iMac and Tv supports

be a lot easier then faffing about with wireless and the quality degradation with the cables would be non-existant
