Installer error

Hey, I'm getting this error when trying to run an install. Couldn't find too much info on this error so, of course, I'm turning to the trusty macrumors forum!

This is the message I'm getting:

Any help is appreciated. Cheers.

NOTE: Just after posting this I changed the extension to .zip and it allowed me to open the file. I'll keep this post up just so if people have a similar problem they can see the solution.
