VLC stuttering/freezing!
When I play mkv or avi files on VLC, the video sometimes freezes or stutters. This didn't happen on my Leopard-right now I am on the Snow Leopard (not sure if that makes a difference or if its because I upgraded the VLC?) I am using the VLC 1.0.3.
I searched old forums and found some tips-but they didn't seem to help...I tried going to Preferences in VLC, clicking on Files and raising the caching value in MS. Then I went to MMmap and checked the "use memory mapping" Neither of these things helped. Is there anything I can do...? |

I assume this is what you did when you changed the caching value:
1- Open Preferences in VLC 2- In the bottom left corner press All 3- Expand Input /Codecs 4- Expand Access Modules 5- Select File 6- Change the caching value to for example 1000.

Perhaps downgrading to VLC 1.0.2 for the time being?
