iPod Nano Radio - Does the US Nano work in the UK?

Hello there,

I'm new to these forums but I've been following the site for the past couple of years - it's a nice little community.

I've just recently bought a new iPod Nano in the US to take advantage of the small saving but it has occurred to me that there may be issues with the radio in the UK? Is this correct - or am I safe to assume everything will be fine (before I return).

Thanks - and Happy Thanksgiving!

As I look at my new nano myself - my iPod video was giving me hell of late and the nano at Target with the 25 dollars worth of gift cards was too good to pass up - you can change the region when you access the radio. Options are:

Americas
Asia
Australia
Europe
Japan

I would assume that it'll work.

Nice one. I did check on Wikipedia about FM radio and it seems that frequencies are the same across the world, with the exception of Russia and Japan.

It's about time my old iPod Nano 1G gets replaced - having been used pretty much one hour every day for the past few years the battery life has taken a beating, not to mention the body of the poor thing. My 3G S doesn't really work during runs either - I tried one of those armbands but they're far too restrictive during exercise.

You'll be fine as long as the frequencies are btween 87.5(?) to 107.9. Here, radios go up to 108.0 but I never heard a station using that frequency.

Japan is a bit strange, radios there go only up to 90.0 but as an above poster said, you can change the region of the radio.

My job entails a good amount of driving in my car so it's nice to have something where I can reach over to change the song rather than having to look at a screen. I would use my iPhone 3G but while driving it sucks.
