IRACING-How do I set up?

I have a MBPR 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7, 16 GB 1600MHz DDR3.

I purchased Parallels 8 but do not have a Microsoft OP at the momment..... I do have an hardrive that i took out of an old laptop with Windows vista 64bit. When i plug in parallels recognizes it and sets up a bootcamp, but i would like it as a virtual machine because it should be much faster that way? (AM I CORRECT WITH THAT THINKING?)

I would like to set it up to have the max specs possible...... thanks
