Hello People... Im new to this forum and kinda of a noob.
Anyways.
I would like to format a MacBook Pro with Mac OS X 10.6.8 Leopard.
This laptop has a 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7 and 4GB Ram.
I want to do this using an External Hard-Drive.
Can anyone point me in the right direction, what to do? Step by Step?

PS. I tried using the 'option' key on startup to use Disk Utility and hopefully find a Backup from Apple, but it only shows Mcintosh HD Hard Drive, so no luck with that.
