Help! Error 1604 & 1015

I jsut brought this phone today 2nd hand, was working fine beside that the home button doesnt work, i then connected to my computer to try update it an it failed an went into recovery mode, everytime i tried to recover it i got error 1015, I then downloaded tinyumbrella an tried to kick it out of recovery mode an now i get error 1604, I dont know what to do.

Oh it doesnt come up with error 1015 anymore just 1604

Someone please help!

now i get a message saying
cannot be restored at this time because the iphone software update server could not be contacted or is temporarily unavailable
