Google Now was named Innovation of the Year from Popular Science. I think it's deserved.

Also, Google are in talks with Dish to potentially start their own carrier. Google simply doesn't rest on their laurels. If you look at the company in general, they're doing lots of new things with windmills, Google glasses, self-driving vehicles...

Rock on, I say. They already provide free calling and cheap international calling and free texting via Google Voice. Most of their services are free (Gmail, YouTube is a huge one...).

Imagine a free Google carrier? Or at least a very affordable one. Then imagine nothing but Nexus devices on them. ... woah.

I disagree. It's Siri 2.0

Innovation is about creating new ideas. They expounded on someone elses idea.

I guess the innovation is that google now works. Hehe just kidding. Sort of.

Edit: to be fair, google now does do things Siri doesn't.

I like apples innovation of notification center. Unfortunately, they still couldn't do that right.

I like apples innovation of multi touch screens and gestures.

Unfortunately, androids screen scrolling still looks janky.
