Has anyone had any major problems with uneven back lighting on the 2012 Airs?

What I've noticed is an extremely sensitive sensor. I mean, the brightness can go 3/4 levels up and down in a 20 seconds interval with apparently no reason at all.

It's pretty random and I've only noticed it 2/3 times since I have it (week of release), but it's still pretty strange imo.

I have it pretty bad on my 11.6" Samsung panel 2012 MBA. Every time I think I am used to it, it starts to bother me more and more. The bottom of the screen, dead center is the worst. Smaller uneven patches to the left and the right exist. It is most notable on a light colored background and when switching between full screen apps.

I'm taking it to the Apple Store tomorrow.

My lighting is even on my 13" 2012 Air (Samsung panel, although I'm not sure why that would affect lighting).

My new 13-inch MBA 2012 with LG panel has uneven backlighting at the bottom.

I am still within my 14-day return policy and I am considering exchanging it.

But i have a refurb of the very highly demanded i7 8GB 256 SSD version which is never in stock on the refurb store.

How would Apple handle an exchange in this case? Is it worth bothering? I am also considering just returning the computer all together and waiting until Haswell but the date for that seems much less certain now and the more I use my MBA the more I grow to appreciate it

Any input is much appreciated!

I haven't noticed any issues on the 200 mid-2012 MBAs at work. Of course, I only sit in front of one of them for extended periods of time...
