On top of all of that, there are the countless first generation iPods, iPhones and iPads we've sold, lost in taxis or passed on to family members along the way. Yep, w'ere pretty locked in.

Two (well, three) iPods: An iPod classic (120 GB), an iPod classic (80GB - my music library exceeds its capacity) and an iPod Touch (64GB); all are around seven or eight years old.

I also have an 11" MBA that I had CTO in 2014, (which comes with 8 GB RAM, 512 GB SSD, and a Core i7).

And, for myself, at the moment, that is all. When I travel (which is often) the 11" MBA and the 120 GB iPod accompany me.

Once upon a time, I did invest in an iPad, and gave it to one brother, because he wanted it and I couldn't stand it. I fell prey to marketing nonsense and purchased another, which went to my other brother, again, because I couldn't stand it.

Both brothers have also received computers: One received my 2010 MBA, and - more recently - inherited my 13" MBA from 2013, that was also a CTO computer and had the same specifications as those I have posted above.

The other - to whom I am close - celebrated a significant birthday this year - and so, I gifted him a brand new 12" retina MacBook, also CTO (8 GB RAM, 512 SSD, and whatever the fastest clock speed I could order - 1.3, I think).

It all started properly after being impressed by that Airport Express. I'd always been curious to get a Mac after OS X was released (i'd used a few of old system 7/8/9 machines at work and university occasionally but never owned a mac). The intel switch made me even more keen on the idea as i could run linux or windows or whatever if i had to as a safety net.

Other than the previous iPhones, i still own all of the above.

Well, since July, I've swapped the Jet Black iPhone 7 Plus for a Space Grey iPhone X (256 GB), the iPad Pro 9.7 for an iPad Pro 10.5 (512 GB), the first-generation iPad Pro 12.9 for a second-generation iPad 12.9 (512 GB) and the 2016 12" MacBook for a 2017 12" i7 MacBook with 512 GB SSD, 16 GB RAM. Oh, and have added the Series 3 Apple Watch, Space Black Stainless Steel. I'm still keeping my first-generation Series 0 watch, too, and am enjoying the Spicy Orange sports band on it. I didn't get all of this stuff at once, of course, have been doing it gradually over the past several months.....
