I have a large external ssd drive that I want to use to make occasional copies of data from a windows computer system at work for use on my macs at home. What is the best format to use for the external drive?

If you need to save single files with more than 4GB then your best bet is to use NTFS and buy paragon NTFS for OSX

For me

exFAT or NTFS ( if have the time or the money to get it right in the Mac).....No 4 GB limit is a big plus....:D
