Chicagoland is notorious for weird price swings.

It's odd, because it wasn't always like that:

My apologizes if I've said this all ready, but at one point in time the price of gas was based on supply and demand. Now companies raise the prices in anticipation of higher rates of travel such as on holidays like Thanksgiving. I don't like this. Capitalist bastards!

In Houston paid $3.37 (a gallon) yesterday for regular unleaded.

I was in TN on vacation last week. I paid $3.01 per gallon. I got back to Maryland and gas was $3.41. Eastern TN seems to have some of the lowest prices I've seen anywhere.

Not bad, but I have been to Houston in the summer. They should implement a hotter than H*LL tax.

The price for 91 octane regular petrol has just hit an all time high at NZ$2.269 per litre.

This equates to US$6.83621 per US gallon.

Just filled up my 15-gallon tank at $3.40. It's fluctuated the past six months here from as low as $3.15 to as much as $3.69.

Pretty much the same in Michigan last week. Wednesday filled up at $3.60, next day it's $3.85+ across the board. Still hanging steady. I can do 3-5 more days before needing to fill up, but I doubt it's going to go down much. I expect prices to remain high for the rest of the summer.
