Damn it all.
I just shot a show with a couple of Canon Vixia HF g10's.
I set the fame rate to 24PF instead of 24P.
Now it's interlaced at 60i, locked in a MTS file.
I edit in premiere cs6. Will i have to deal with this during edit or just on export when setting my frames to be progressive?
I also shot with a canon XH A1 at 24p and am throwing that in the mix.
take an empty pop can, place it on the floor, smash it flat, now try to pull it back to how it was.
see how it looks like crap? that's called compression

If you have access to the Final Cut Suite you could try using the Cinema Tools workflow people used with Canon HV20 (which recorded 24p in a 60i timeline).
There is also a way to use After Effects to remove the pull down.
