So I updated to IOS 7 and the time on my iPad is set to Cupertino instead of CDT. the steps to change are different now and set automatically just spins that gear thing and does nothing and if I turn auto off, delete Cupertino and put my city in, I don't see a next step. Can anyone help me get the correct time set?

Try going to settings -> general -> date and time -> set automatically off then adjust to you desired time then just go back it will save

Can't sign in iMessage after update

I updated yesterday. Today I am trying to use some of the apps that I don't use everyday. Why so difficult? iMessage wanted me to sign in with my Apple ID and password. So I did and I get the message that it can't connect and to check my network connection. It is fine. Anybody else having this issue? Any ideas how to get this to cooperate?
