As far as I know, the only way to get lyrics into iTunes is to copy and paste them in.

Yes, there's a bunch.
Yes there is a bunch of them, apps, plugins, etc.
I use Get Lyrical and it's been wonderful to even find foreign languages lyrics (which I listen to a lot: French, Japanese, German, Spanish...).
It works effortlessly: just select a bunch of tracks on iTunes that you want GL to fill the lyrics for, then open GL and choose "tag selection" and let it do its magic. that easy. Enjoy!
