Paid off the 300 f/2.8 IS II, and I think the extra length of the 400, so this is coming in another month or so once I get my iMac paid down a little more.

I never cared much for zoom lenses. I have a 70-200 and felt like that's as much as I'd need.

Then I shot ONE little kid ice hockey game from above the stands and I could feel the thoughts forming in my head telling me to buy a 300 or even 400mm

Of current lenses, the only zooms I'd even remotely want are 24-70 and 70-200. I'll probably buy a 200 f/2 instead though.

New PC build.

So after careful study, I feel that for what I do best a PC would be best suitable for both my wallet and performance requirements. I basically want to start composing scores for film and video; all while being able to edit video and create small animations. So I opted for an Intel 6-core, which in a Mac Pro would destroy my entire budget. Thus my final build specifications would be:

Intel i7 4930k 6-core processor @ 3.4GHz
ASUS P9X79WS LGA 2011 motherboard
32Gb DDR3 1600 RAM
ASUS GTX 780 3GB Nvidia graphics card
Corsair HX850 850W power supply
Samsung EVO 840 500GB SSD

I plan on adding more internal hard drives for excessive storage along with the possibility of either a Quadro K2000 to enable true 10-bit color depth or another GTX 780 in SLI for 6GB VRAM and double CUDA cores. However, all of this would be neatly placed into a Cooler Master HAF X case:

I only chose this case due to the fact that it allows for maximum air flow, and being that this system will be air cooled, I felt it made the most sense.

There we have it, can't wait! :)

Queen bed for the boy (double as guest) (no pic)

Lots of power cables and other things small appliances. A small outdoor table and chairs, no dining set yet (eating outside).

Still more to get :) Moving country is not cheap and easy :D But so worth it.

Gotta find a good 2 - 3 burner propane powered grill too, what's a good brand over here?

In lieu of any Mac mini rumors, I decided to get creative:

You don't think the mini will get phased out. Last time I went to the apple store they barely have laptops any more. A couple iMacs and then 80% of the store is iPhones, 10% iPads the rest miscellaneous stuff and the Mac computers

No, I don't think the mini will be phased out. Perhaps it will be even thinner and receive an underhwelming spec bump. Hey, look at me; I'm an analyst. :p

Because Apple didn't update the iPod touch and instead made the iPad Air so bloody awesome:
