iPad Mini: Any chance iPad Mini ship dates will improve?

My mom ordered an iPad Mini and it says ship time one week, will these times improve? She was telling it was supposed to come some time january 2nd or 3rd but she might be doing that just to get me a little excited lol. I know some iPhones were sent ahead of schedule, like november 17th dates being pushed forward to november 5th.

Tough to get shipping times much quicker than one week. Eventually, in some additional months, a day or two may be shaved off that shipping time.

ah. the iPhone 5 on apple's website will ship in about a day, guess it's not as hot as they wanted it to be lol. Well the ps vita will hold me over until then. If they want to be in time for the christmas season though they need these ship dates to 1-3 days. Which is next to impossible since mail doesn't come on sunday. Oh well it's just an iPad, I already have an iPhone 5 anyway
