11" and 13" MBA SSD swap?

I'm in the enviable position of having both a 2012 11" MBA (2.0gHz i7, 256GB SSD, 8GB RAM) and a base 13" MBA as well.

Would anyone know if it's possible to switch the SSDs in these machines? In one way, the larger SSD would do me more good in the 13" than in the 11", but I'm not anxious to open the cases and make the switch only to find that one or both won't boot for some reason.

My concern isn't the physical SSD, but rather the OS. Without knowing that the 11" SSD will boot the 13" MBA without wiping and reinstalling - which is what I'm trying to avoid - I'm probably just going to leave well enough alone.

It would work without having to do anything more than just switching them over.
