Looking for hologram VFX tutorials

I am trying to find tutorials on how to make futuristic holographic VFX with After Effects or Motion. The only thing I have seen so far is a FilmRiot tutorial on how to make the cowboys and aliens arm thing, is there anything else someone has seen? I was thinking of going to video copilot next...

I don't know exactly what effects yet, but the HUD thing from Sight that is built into their eyes, I was thinking of doing something similar as a camera display, sort of a futuristic found-footage idea. Also, the holographic "panels" such as the advertisements on the sides of the buildings in the Plurality film are something I would like to know how to do. I have experimented with motion tracking and know the basics of how to do it. I was also wondering how to do something like the game he plays with the cucumber, at 1:20, in Sight, when it projects lines onto the cucumber.
