2012 13" MBA 4/128 is ML worth the Upgrade
I just bought a 13" MBA with Lion on it, and qualify for the upgrade for free, however is Mountain Lion worth the upgrade on a 13" MBA with 4GB/128SSD?

Microsoft Office 2011 (Outlook, specifically) does not run well in many circumstances under Mountain Lion. If you are depending on that application, I would say "no." Otherwise, it is a good upgrade from my experience.

Absolutely so! It has a lot of great features, and to me it is faster.

It is pretty much unusable. I you have a decent mailbox size and in particular running against Exchange, I wouldn't upgrade. The performance can be terrible and there are long delays in sending messages, etc.
I would recommend dual booting with Mountain Lion and running Outlook in there to see the performance of it befor you upgrade your production OS. See here for more info. Other info is available online and none of the patches or updates have resolved it. http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1418963 Last edited by monkeybagel; Dec 5, 2012 at 01:51 PM. |

Yes, if only for the improvement in screen calibration.
