Should we use Trim enabler?
http://betanews.com/2012/01/24/got-a...m-enabler-2-0/
I have a Corsair F240 SSD, and I was just thinking about the TRIM support in Leopard. It doesn't say TRIM is enabled on my SSD at the moment, but Corsair says TRIM is supported if enabled at the OS level So, if we buy SSDs and have leopard, should we install TRIM Enabler? |

I doubt that you would see any noticeable speed boost from using trim if you are already using a ssd

drives with a sandforce controller don't use it and shouldn't use it.

Here is some background, and where they state that you shouldn't use TRIM on OWC drives (or any other Sandforce powered drive, for that matter).

Nooo! in your case if you went back a few years (as in 'old school') it would be more like 'pre-school'

That is interesting that sand force has its own garbage collection going on. It's weird that OWC kinda suggest only their SSD has it, when it should be in all sand force driven SSD.
So, this means we don't have to worry at all! Woooooo Hoooooo |

Well, unless you have a non-Sandforce SSD.

I don't get it. TRIM is not supported in Leopard. Am I missing something?
