I opened stickies (application) today to find all of my sticky notes gone! My computer had not died, crashed, been restarted or anything. The stickies that were there last night had magically disappeared.

I did some digging on Google and figured out this is a common problem, so I found the Stickies Database, but I also found a Stickies plist (com.apple.Stickies.plist). Which one should I use? And how do I read all of this nonsense text?

Text from the plist:

bplist00÷
_NSWindow Frame NSFontPanel^FindInAllNotes_NSNavLastRootDirectory^FindIgnoreCase_NSColorPanelMode_NSWindow Frame NSColorPanel_801 898 445 270 0 0 1920 1178 Q~ Q7_427 410 214 309 0 0 1920 1178 2AZi|öªΩø¿¬
„

Text from the Stickies Database:

streamtypedÅËÑ@ÑÑÑNSMutableArrayÑÑNSArrayÑÑNSObjectÖÑiíÑÑÑDocumentïíÑÑÑ
NSMutableDataÑÑNSDataïñÅ¡Ñ[193c]rtfdTXT.rtf.n+f{\rtf1\ansi\ansicpg1252\cocoartf1038\cocoasubrtf360

}#TXT.rtf]˜Q∂ÜñÑ{?={?=ff}{?=ff}}4Å˙Å,Å»ñíÑÑÑNSDateïÑdÉT¨RD"√∂AÜíÑúùÉu¨RD"√∂AÜÜÜ

Is all my information lost? Please HELP!

If you have a Time Machine backup you may want to restore that StickiesDatabase file. The plist doesn't contain anything relevant to the content of the notes themselves.
