What settings for Audio Reciever for unprocessed audio

I have a Sony STR-DG720. My general question with this and any audio receiver is what setting to have it at to simply get the straight audio to come through. You have to set it at one of their settings, but none seem to be a setting that is "give me audio source with no extra processing" What would that setting be called for Sony recievers or a generic reciever. I'm assuming it exists.

Pure Direct

EDIT: Just looked at the manual (page 51) and Pure Direct is selected as A.F.D. Auto (Auto Format Direct).
