I just use the clock app with no dock next to my bed. After a few months I manage to learn how to turn my alarm off in my sleep. So I have to move my phone across the room so I don't oversleep haha.

I never used to until we had a power cut a few months ago which made me late for work as my plug in radio failed, now I use the default alarm as my main wake up call.

I use it as a back-up alarm to my alarm clock in case I hit the snooze to many times. To many issues over the years for me to rely on it solely.

I don't use the alarm clock on my iphone I use the alarm settings on my dock I use for my phone at night on my bedside table. Although the dock is 2-3+ years old still does what I need it to be do with good sound quality.

yup, have been doing so for years (with various iphones). i just use the regular clock app. i don't dock it, though in the past i did use an iHome.
