iPad mini Stuck on "Waiting for items to copy"

So I finally got my iPad mini today and am syncing it with my computer and it has been stuck on "Waiting for items to copy (Step 5 of 5)" for a couple hours. At this point everything is on my iPad and I'm considering just cancelling the sync, but I was wondering if anyone has seen this or knows a solution.
