Canon Lenses w/ stablization - feedback?
I am looking into getting lens with IS or OS or what ever stabilization.
After using my T2i and it's kit lens with IS, it's just so dam smooth. I am looking for people's feedback ESP for video comparisons of something like the 28-135mm vs the 24-105mm L series.

try this: take an empty pop can, place it on the floor, smash it flat, now try to pull it back to how it was. see how it looks like crap? that's called compression |

I've just upgraded to a 6D and therefore since my 17-55mm Canon lens wouldn't fit I decided to upgrade to a 24-70mm f2.8 which would fit FF.
Tamron offer the cheapest decent quality lens with VC (IS). The IS makes such a world of difference if you have to go handheld. Be careful with fast pans though as you will visibly see the system getting confused. I would recommend the 24-105mm f4 but if you need an extra stop of light try out the 24-70mm f2.8 from Tamron which is a similar price. |
