Do no update ATV2 to 6.1

Some people might known, the reason i make this thread is to make sure other people don't make the same mistake as I did.

Jailbreak for ATV2 6.1 is out but XBMC doesn't work for 6.1

They are trying to find a fix and I hope it will be soon. lol

No idea why but Apple started Signing 5.0.2 again today.

So if your like me and didnt had SHSH go sign them now!!! lol

Happy that i got XBMC back on my ATV2

So really what you are saying is "don't upgrade to ATV2 to 5.2 IF you jailbreak"...

You do realize that not everyone jail breaks their ATV's right? Your title is completely misleading. I actaully thought that there was something wrong with 5.2 on the AppleTV2's, but it turns out you just can't jailbreak it. Awesome. Good job you...

I suspect the vast majority of ATVs are not jailbroken, for many the stock ATV is fine.

If you saved your shah blobs, you can downgrade. I was able to downgrade last night.

Jailbroken ATV2 does the same thing minus 1080, but it's compensated by having free Hulu, AmazonPrime, and whatever XBMC has to offer.

If I had a need for the features of the 3 vs. my 2 I'd take you up on that. I don't have a 1080p-capable TV and I only use it for Netflix, minimal Youtube and music streaming through HomeSharing.

There are a large number reporting issue with movies buffering for a really large amount of time after going to 5.2. I'm one of them.

I'll trade you an un-JB ATV2 (with box) for a ATV3, sure! Send me a PM. I haven't upgraded just because I don't want to bother with selling the 2.
