Siri Quirk and Bug
I've noticed a couple of things by playing with Siri:
1. I got the entire OS to crash by telling Siri to call me "ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ yo homeboy want a piece of pizza think I got an extra piece around here somewhere". If you're a Weird Al fan, you'll get it. I'm guessing it somehow got overloaded, crashed, and made iOS respring or reboot (not sure). I tried again, and it didn't crash it. But Siri should really work 100% of the time without killing everything around her. 2. Siri can set reminders to go off in less than a minute, but there is no way to do this in iOS without Siri!!! Or am I missing something? You can tell Siri to "remind me to do something in 30 seconds", but you can't set any kind of alarm to go off except in larger intervals like 5 minutes. Siri sets a reminder that shows up as going off at the current date/time, but it really goes off in 30 seconds. And yes, I do frequently want a timer to expire in 30 seconds or so. So #2 has finally given Siri a use for me, not that it should. |
